Spaces Still Open at TechLab: Caves
Our award-winning STEAM Day Camp challenges your Scout to explore STEAM as they prepare to live in cave environments. Classes cover Robotics, Electronics, Programming, Woodworking/CNC and more! There are new classes this year at both the 3rd-5th grade level and the 6th-9th grade level. Camp takes place at Austin ISD's Applied Technology Center at Anderson High School in five week-long sessions in June and July. More information and registration at

Join the fun this summer at Cub Scout Day Camp exploring space and the outdoors. We have several camp dates to chose from. Activities vary at each camp so register for more than one! We have programs for Scouts (boys or girls) and siblings. Bring a friend!

Extreme Summer Fun For Webelos
Calling all Webelos: you are invited to an "extreme" adventure July 15-18 at Lost Pines Scout Reservation!
- Four days and three nights of adventure at Lost Pines
- Webelos are assigned to patrols and participate in Boy Scout activities
- Patrol competitions will encourage team spirit, team work and FUN!
Webelos and their parent/guardian will experience multiple water-related activities that are guaranteed to get them soaked! You will also be climbing and shooting in addition to several other EXTREME activities.

Hazardous Weather Training Now Required
As of April 30, Hazardous Weather Training is mandatory to be considered a "trained" leader in your position, whether you're a Den Leader, Cubmaster, or other. Find and take this course online by logging in to

Start planning for an amazing Fall Recruitment now! Just a few simple steps can set your pack and community up for a great Scouting year:
- Update your pack's BeAScout pin through www.My.Scouting.org, maybe even share a link to your pack website and calendar.
- With your district membership volunteers and District Executive, visit with your school now to pencil in a date the second or third week of school to host a Join Scouting Night.
- Plan to have your September or October pack meeting as an open house for additional youth.
- Start looking for next year's Den Leaders from active families today and make sure the Tiger Den is ready to "Blast into Scouting"!

Planning Ahead For Fall Popcorn Sale
- Great Scout units have great program. Ask your Pack Committee for a budget planning focus at an upcoming committee meeting. Great Scout units lay out the yearly plan, dream and get buy-in to build a budget that will support their youth. CLICK HERE for a tool make it easy.
- Service above Sales. Consider working with your pack and district Popcorn Chairs to set goals around the participation level of youth or even the number of booths, doors knocked or blocks walked. Focus on service hours devoted to popcorn and you will be surprised of the results!

Governor Abbott has declared May 7-13, 2018, as Healthy Texas Week. It's a week designated to promote healthy living.
