NASA has released the 2019 areas of interest. Please review these and create your submission based on one of these areas. :
Internal Limited Submission Special Instructions:
Upload 1: Technical Description - 2 page max, 1 inch margins, 12 pt font
Upload 2: Justification for NASA Funding the Proposal - 1 page max, 1 inch margins, 12 pt font
Upload 3: Letters of Recommendation - combine all letters into a single file to upload, no limit
Applicants should review the internal review criteria and make sure they are responsive to the review criteria. Your proposal should be clear and concise. Cost sharing is required .

NASA GODDARD TECHNICAL INTERCHANGE MEETING $1500 TRAVEL GRANTS

NASA EPSCoR is arranging a Technical Interchange Meeting (TIM) in Washington, D.C. June 27, 2018 at Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC). They plan to have break-out sessions with GSFC researchers on the planned topics listed below (these topics may change depending on availability of GSFC researchers). The goal of the breakout sessions is to see if there is a collaborative connection that could be made between university researchers and GSFC researchers.
 
If you are interested in attending this meeting and wish to request travel support, please email your travel application to Rachael Damiani (rachael.damiani@uah.edu) in the NASA EPSCoR Program office and put: AL NASA EPSCOR TIM TRAVEL REQUEST in the subject line.

 
Application Requirements and Restrictions:
Short CV (2-page limit)
Cover letter (2-page limit) which addresses the following questions:
  • How does your research align with NASA’s emphasis areas for the meeting (see list below)?
  • How will the travel increase research capacity in Alabama and benefit or facilitate your research activities?
  • Estimated cost of travel? *Please note, only allowable travel expenses not to exceed $1,500 will be reimbursed after submission of invoice and receipts post-travel.
  • Are you a US citizen? This does not affect your selection. You do not need to be a US citizen to apply.

12 pt. Times New Roman font with 1-inch margins are required. 
Only 1 attachment is allowed. Please use the following naming convention for your attachment: lastname_firstname_universityname_TIMgrant2018.

Alabama NASA EPSCoR Travel grants are restricted to Alabama researchers/faculty only.

Semiconductor Research Corporation (SRC) is soliciting proposals in the area of Intelligent Cognitive Assistants (ICA). The ICA program will provide supplemental funding* to the Future of Work at the Human-Technology Frontier: Advancing Cognitive and Physical Capabilities (FW-HTF) program offered by the National Science Foundation. At the bottom of this page is a description of the goals for this program and the research topics of interest.
After becoming familiar with the description of desired research, if you wish to submit a proposal, first submit your proposal to NSF, and then follow these steps to submit the same proposal to SRC. In summary:
  • Submit your proposal to NSF, and save the PDF file that you receive from NSF FastLane.
  • https://www.nsf.gov/funding/pgm_summ.jsp?pims_id=505528 
  • (letter of intent due to NSF by April 16 and full proposal is due by June 4, 2018)
  • Obtain a proposal ID from SRC (this will be different from the NSF proposal ID).
  • Generate a cover page for your proposal.
  • Prepare your proposal by creating a PDF file with the signed SRC proposal cover page incorporated with the NSF proposal as submitted.
  • Upload your completed SRC proposal PDF

MAY 10th, 1 - 2:30PM Auburn University Biggio Center
The Biggio Center and the Office of the Vice President for Research are collaborating to offer a workshop on NSF CAREER proposal development. Dr. Alan Wilson (past NSF Program Director who served as a Division CAREER representative) will present his pro-tips and, previous CAREER winners will assist with brainstorming and proposal development. Refreshments will be available.
