Cycling Negates Aging

A new study is out showing that cycling as you age can prevent one's immune system declining and provide protection from some infections such as flu. The UK study that tracked a number of cyclists including many regular riders in their 80's, showed that active elder cyclists can have the immune system similar to someone in their 20's.
Another affiliated study, found that cyclists did not lose muscle mass or strength, and did not see an increase in body fat - which are usually associated with ageing.

So no matter your age, get motivated to get out there and ride more this year.

Ready, Set ...

The list is long, and growing longer with every frosty weekend. Ready to head out on a longer ride, our dream ride destinations are growing. With every fantastic cycling event we hear about and motivating cycling route map we pour over, our pedals are already spinning before we are able to get out the door.

Time to bundle up and just get out there. If a shorter ride and longer coffee break is in order, so be it. Putting in any number of test kilometres on your bike is always a good thing.

Spring is (almost) in the air.
