DNR's herpetologist John Jensen will help us learn more about frogs and toads. We will catch frogs to find out how to identify these croaking creatures by sight and sound, and why they call. Our program begins with a presentation, then a hike to nearby ponds. Then we will travel via caravans (bring your own vehicle) around the CEWC property. Bring a headlamp or flashlight and dress for the outdoors (especially if you want to go after frogs in the water.) Boots and shoes to get muddy are welcomed. Program is held rain or shine. This is a free public program. Registration required. You can register by calling us at 770-784-3059.

Help us Welcome OUR New Teachers
to Jasper County!
It is that time again and we are beginning the preparations for our New Teacher Orientation (NTO) for the 2018-2019 school year on
July 30, 2018.
We are always excited to welcome new teachers to our district and would love to offer an opportunity for each of you to promote your business. We are in need of items or coupons for the goody bags and also funds that will allow us to provide lunch or purchase classroom supplies. Any donation that your company can provide would be most appreciated. You may also send a flyer or business card for your company/organization. We want each new teacher to this community to know about all that Jasper County has to offer. Each donor will receive a listing on our
Digital Backpack community resource web page and in our event brochure.
We hope that you will join us! All donations should be received by
July 15. You may bring your donation to the Board of Education office or schedule a pick up at your convenience. You may reply to this email or contact us personally at the numbers below for any additional information. We look forward to hearing from each of you!
