The Annual Fund Campaign is our primary opportunity for school families to participate in the continued success of our school by helping to bridge the gap left by state and local funding. This fund supports existing educational programs, new curriculum development, improves facilities, and supports essential needs of Socrates Academy.
 
2020-2021 Socrates Lottery Applicants
The Socrates Academy public lottery will be held on Tuesday, February 11th at 9 am in the Middle School Language Lab. The above chart shows the number of applicants for the 2020-2021 school year. Siblings are not included in this number. The lottery application will be placed back online after the lottery has been run. Any families interested in applying may still do so, but will be added to the bottom of the wait list.

Class Pictures
Class pictures will be taken on February 19th. Please ensure scholars are in full uniform. No sweatshirts please! If you would like to earn volunteer hours, we would love for you to sign up to help out. Volunteers will be helping to arrange students in place and ensure that everyone is smiling. Sign up HERE
Dress Code
As the temperatures begin to rise, we want to remind parents and scholars of the dress code policy for warmer weather. All shorts, skirts, skorts, and jumpers must be two inches above the knee or longer. We are also seeing students wearing hoodies and sweatshirts that do not have a Socrates Academy. Please help us in making sure that scholars have the appropriate uniform on prior to coming to school each day.
This applies to all existing inventory with the exception of spirit hoodies and patches. It’s a great time to stock up!

We Need Tarps!
Today during the Tornado drill we had some of our scholars in the bathrooms because it offered the most protection in the event of an emergency. We will begin collecting tarps to be kept in each building, so that if students are ever evacuated to an area to sit, we can quickly cover the floor with tarps. If you would like to donate tarps for our emergency kits, please send them in with your scholar to either office. We will be offering 5 volunteer hours for every tarp you donate!
Cupcake Wars
We are moving Cupcake Wars to a date closer to the Spring. We are anticipating this event to be held in April and an official date will be coming soon. This gives everyone time to practice making the perfect cupcake! We feel sure, your family will be happy to help you test it.
