EMPOWERING A CARING COMMUNITY THAT PROMISES THE WELL-BEING OF EVERY CHILD
May 2019
Since its inception in 2007, Promise Partners has experienced tremendous growth thanks to our partners. We know the partnerships we have formed have made an impact on the well-being of children and families in Pottawattamie County by providing resources, services, and supports.  To the friends, neighbors, and leadership, we say thank you for your support and partnerships that carried us to this point of great success.

We eagerly anticipate the strengthening of our partnerships with each and every one of you.  We invite aligned organizations and individuals to become a partner, by committing to advance the alliance's objectives and goals through participation in one or more alliance initiatives.

We Can Prevent ACEs

Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) have a tremendous impact on future violence victimization and perpetration, and lifelong health and opportunity. Working together, we can help create neighborhoods, communities, and a world in which every child can thrive.

Why Your Brain Panics Under Pressure

You spend weeks preparing for a presentation, memorizing important facts and statistics to dazzle your audience and drive your point home. But when the day finally arrives and you're on the spot, your mind is as blank as a pristine chalkboard.  What just happened? As educator Elizabeth Cox explains in this  TedEd video , the answer lies in the complicated relationship between short-term stress and memory.

Why Give to Promise Partners?
We convene community partners to create effective, cost efficient impact for an empowered community. Promise Partners brings together non-profits, government, schools, and social services agencies to address our community's most pressing needs and build bridges to share a common goal- supporting children to achieve their highest potential.

Community Initiatives Include:
  • Maternal, infant, and early childhood programming;
  • Preventative, family centered, and community based services;
  • Building relationships to increase resilience, while decreasing rates of childhood trauma;
  • Community planning to provide services and supports for vulnerable families.
How can you help Promise Partners during Pottawattamie Gives on May 22?
  • Schedule a gift.  You can schedule a gift anytime.
  • Spread the word.  Tell your family and friends that you are giving to Promise Partners. Invite them to participate in the giving day.
