NEWS & EVENTS
Spring Open House for Prospective Students Slated

Learn more about RVCC at the Spring Open House, April 26, 6-8 p.m., in the Conference Center at the College's Branchburg campus.
 
Hear about the College firsthand from current students and alumni; tour the campus including the new Workforce Training Center; learn about financial aid options and support services designed to help students succeed; and meet with RVCC faculty. Learn about degree programs that are designed to help students transfer to top colleges and universities, as well as training programs that prepare students for a new career in a year or less.
 
The event will include workshops focusing on such topics as how to become an RVCC student, Honors College/NJ Stars, Life After the Concurrent Enrollment Program, and transfer opportunities after graduating from RVCC.

Register for Summer Classes

RVCC's Summer Sessions are a great way for high school students to jump start their college education. The College offers three summer sessions: a six-week session beginning May 21; a nine-week session beginning June 11; and a six-week session beginning July 9.

Program on Transitioning to College Planned

Prospective students, parents and guardians, and high school educators and administrators are invited to attend "Transition to College," April 18, 9-11 a.m., in the RVCC Conference Center. The program will offer information about disability support services and other assistance available to students as they transition from high school to RVCC.

Reading, Creative Writing Workshop Slated

Area high school students are invited to attend a Reading and Creative Writing Workshop with poet Jee Leong Koh, April 25, 1:30-6 p.m., at RVCC. The event includes a poetry reading, writing workshops and a pizza dinner, as well as a question-and-answer session with the poet.

Annual Event Showcasing Student Academic Work Set

RVCC will continue its tradition of honoring students' outstanding academic work at its annual Nota Bene event, April 20, 6 p.m., in RVCC's Evelyn S. Field Library.

RVCC Student Receives National Honors from Civic Engagement Organization

RVCC student Amber Lindsay, a second-year Environmental Science major, has been selected as a national Newman Civic Fellow by Campus Compact in recognition of her commitment to finding solutions for challenges facing communities.

Sanofi Mentorship Program Offers Guidance for Students

After coming to the US from Nigeria in 2014, Janet Adeleke felt she needed some extra help navigating college life and transitioning into the professional world. The RVCC student has found the help she needed thanks to the Sanofi US Corporate Mentor Program, which connects RVCC students with industry professionals to enhance their educational experience.

Development, a dance piece choreographed and performed by RVCC Dance major Nathan Forster, was adjudicated by a panel of nationally recognized dance professionals at the American College Dance Conference.
