Easter closures: March 30 through April 2 
 

Vaughan City Hall and the Joint Operations Centre will be closed on March 30 and April 2 for the holiday weekend. Offices will reopen on April 3. Waste regularly scheduled for pick up on March 30 will be collected on March 31.

Make sure your contractor is licensed
All renovators, fence installers, pavers, landscapers and pool installers operating in Vaughan are required to be licensed by the City. Learn about what contractors need to do when working with consumers. 
Mayor Bevilacqua designates a Heritage Tree
A more than 170-year-old Bur Oak was designated as a Heritage Tree at Council on March 21. It measures an impressive 24 metres tall and 23 metres at the widest point of its branches. This Bur Oak is an iconic part of our celebrated, natural heritage. 

Need volunteer hours? Be a Leisure Buddy!
Recreation Vaughan is looking for Leisure Buddies to provide one on one support to special needs summer campers. Learn more about this great volunteer opportunity at vaughan.ca/RecJobs
20-Minute Makeover is back
In celebration of Earth Day, join friends, family, neighbours and colleagues on April 13 for Vaughan's 20-Minute Makeover. It's easy. Simply register by April 5 and take 20 minutes to go outside and help clean up litter from the local community.  
Spring programs are here
Spring recreation programs and swim lessons started March 24, but you can still take part. Register online or at a community centre. With programs for every age, interest and ability level, there is something for everyone. Take a look at what we have to offer.
