Last call for Community Spirit Award nominations!
Help celebrate and say thank you to those in our community who contribute to the life and spirit of Oakville by nominating them for a Community Spirit Award!

The awards recognize outstanding individuals, groups and businesses in seven categories:
  • Access Award, sponsored by Access Abilities
  • Arts Award, sponsored by The Oakville Beaver
  • Group Volunteer Award, sponsored by the Town of Oakville
  • Heritage Award, sponsored by Genworth Financial Canada
  • Individual Volunteer Award, sponsored by Paradiso Restaurant
  • Senior Award, sponsored by Chartwell Waterford Retirement Residence
  • Youth Award, sponsored by RBC Royal Bank
Nominations will be accepted until Monday, April 16 at 4 p.m.

Spring loose leaf collection

Leaf collection starts Monday, April 16. Check the schedule to see when we will be in your neighbourhood. Collection may occur any time during a scheduled week. To ensure you don't miss it, put your leaves out by 7 a.m. on the first day of collection and please keep leaves free of garbage or other yard waste materials such as brush, branches, large twigs or stones. 
Bronte Youth Centre closing 

Bronte Youth Centre located at 2996 Lakeshore Road West will close on May 18 due to a steady decline in attendance and program participation. The town will reallocate the centre's funding to new youth initiatives including temporary "pop-up" youth centres to better serve youth throughout town.
The Queen Elizabeth Park and Nottinghill Youth Centres will remain open.
Council business at Town Hall 

The next Planning and Development Council meeting is on Monday, April 16 at 7 p.m. Agenda items include t he Burloak Drive and Kerr Street Grade Separation Projects and the Economic Development Annual Report.  Join the meeting in person or tune in to our YouTube channel to watch it live.
