Greetings!

Here are some upcoming events I think you may enjoy:

Free Comic Day at the Library. Activities for all ages will take place inside the Velma Teague Library (7010 N. 58th Ave.) and outside in the surrounding Murphy Park from 11 a.m.-5 p.m., as well as inside the Drawn to Comics store located across the street (5801 W. Glendale Ave.) from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Enjoy local artists, crafts, games, cosplay, pop culture musicians, and, of course, free comics galore! Click here for more information.

Clean Comedy Night . This Sunday Clean Comedy USA presents Clean Comedy Night at Stir Crazy Comedy Club! Family-friendly comedy for all ages - featuring the best local & national comedians! For more information click  here.

Vino & Canvas Paint Night. 
This  Tuesday  at  Off The Cuff from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Create your own masterpiece in an entertaining atmosphere with the assistance of a talented art instructor. All supplies are included and absolutely NO experience is required!  For more information click  here.

Classic cars & hot rods make a return to Westgate the first Wednesday of this month. Shows will run through June from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. For more information click here.
From Your Councilmember

I want to encourage you to attend the Town Hall meeting on Monday, May 13. The city plans to discuss the future of the open space portion of Glen Lakes Golf Course. Please bring your ideas. The meeting will take place at Glendale American Elementary School, located at 8530 N. 55th Ave and is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. If you are unable to attend, there are other options for you to participate in the discussion. Please find additional information on the left side of my newsletter.

Warm weather has arrived, making it the perfect time for frozen yogurt! Join Friends of the Glendale Public Library, a non-profit, grassroots membership group dedicated to promoting Glendale's library system , next Thursday, May 9, at Yogurtini, located at 5870 W. Thunderbird Rd., Ste. A3, from 6-9 p.m. This fundraiser will benefit the group's efforts to advocate, educate, and raise funds on behalf of Glendale Public Library and its patrons.

Recycling Tip...Caps On!

Everybody knows that plastic bottles can be recycled, but what about caps? YES they can be recycled!

Thanks to improved sorting processes, we can recycle plastic caps with no added effort! Just empty the contents of the bottle, put the cap on, and toss it in the recycling bin.  Click here  for a list of items Glendale's recycling program accepts.
