Access Video on Demand and Access Video on Demand Just for Kids are Cleared for Classroom Use

Access Video on Demand
Access Video Just for Kids

If you're looking for a quick and entertaining way to reinforce your curriculum this school year, check out Access Video on Demand and Access Video on Demand Just for Kids! One of the best features for educators is the option to "Search by Standards," which gives access to thousands of videos that meet Virginia's Standards of Learning for each grade and subject.

In addition to Virginia Standards videos, Access Video includes complete documentaries from National Geographic, the Smithsonian Institutions, the BBC, and hundreds of other producers. Just for Kids provides short educational clips from favorite programs such as Reading Rainbow, Jim Henson & Company, PBS, to name a few. Performance rights are cleared for non-profit and educational uses, so you may use them for group or classroom instruction and transcripts are available for most videos.

These resources are not just for academic support! You can find fitness and health videos for kids and teens, guidance-related videos about topics such as family dynamics, bullying, and anxiety, and interactive learning games in several different fields of study.

These helpful resources are free with your PWPL library card. Visit pwcgov.org/library, click on "Digital Library," then select Access Video on Demand or Access Video on Demand Just for Kids using your 14-digit library card barcode to log in. *Please note that these resources are only available with the physical library card, not our digital library card.

We want to be a resource for you, not just during this time when you're faced with challenges presented by COVID-19, but also when we all progress back into our "new normal." Please don't hesitate to contact us at [email protected] to discuss additional resources from Prince William Public Libraries.
