NURSES MONTH
During National Nurses Week,  Hospice of Southern Illinois would like  to extend a special thanks  to our nurses as they  continue to provide the  highest level of quality care  to our patients. They deserve  special recognition for their  vast contributions and the  positive impact they make  every day!

Beginning in 1993, the American Nurses  Association
declared May 6-12 as the  national week to celebrate
and elevate the  nursing profession.

HOSPICE IS DIGNITY
We define dignity because it's the one noun that relates to quality of life at the end of life, a core value of hospice care at Hospice of Southern Illinois. How do people with a life-limiting illness find quality of life at the end of life? Finding it is different for each person. As an individual's life-limiting illness progresses, Hospice of Southern Illinois can be called in to support the patient and their family.  Read Mr. Ward's story of dignity on our blog.
