Dear Residents,
We're in the midst of a very exciting time for our Town! As many of you know, we recently finalized the "land swap" deal-exchanging the Cutler Bay Town Center building and adjacent property we owned for 16 acres of land located on Old Cutler Road and SW 212 Street, known to many as the "potato field" (learn more about this exchange here:
http://cutlerbay-fl.gov/Home/Components/News/News/3377/).
The vision for this parcel of land-which is located in the geographical heart of our Town-is to not only house a municipal complex and park, but to be the emotional heart of our Town and a gathering place for our tightly-knit community.
The next step in this project is the visioning process, which will determine what we-as a community-envision for this space...

11th Annual Chili Day in Cutler Bay Draws Over 3,000 Attendees
The Town of Cutler Bay celebrated its 11th Annual Chili Day on Saturday, January 25, 2020, at Cutler Ridge Park. As one of the Town's largest event that kicks off the new year, this year's Chili Day brought in over 3,000 attendees. 26 teams competed in the cook-off, including four firehouses and three restaurants.
Chefs arrived at the park as early as 8 a.m. Saturday morning to begin prepping and cooking. In addition to bragging rights, the teams competed for cash prizes and trophies in the following five categories: Chili, Salsa, Cornbread, People's Choice and Best Decorated Booth. For the People's Choice categories, event attendees were invited to sample chili and salsa and vote for their favorite team via text messaging.

The Presidential Preference Primary Elections are just around the corner... March 17, to be exact! Make sure you take note of the following important dates:
- February 18: Deadline to be registered to vote or change party affiliation in this primary election (Florida is a closed primary state; only registered Republican and Democratic voters are eligible to vote in this election)
- March 7: Deadline to request a Vote-by-Mail ballot for the Presidential Preference Primary Election
- March 17: Date of the Presidential Preference Primary Election

Miami-Dade County Transit, which updates the Town's Circulator Bus Service, encourages you to utilize the Miami-Dade Transit Tracker App to help track your ride and plan your trip. The program allows riders to attain real-time tracking of the Town's Municipal Circulator, Metrobus and Metrorail.
