Hello Daves Avenue Families,
All 4th grade students have been working on a Cultural Research Project titled, “The Flags of Our Class” and this morning we shared and celebrated their diversity at our Wednesday Wave. Following the assembly, all 4th grade classes celebrated with a Cultural Potluck and shared some of their favorite family recipes with their peers. Thank you to the families who joined in the celebration!

As you know, Daves Avenue participated in the Great Kindness Challenge last week. Are you interested in a fun dinnertime conversation? Ask your child how much kindness costs and what it means. Their answer should be “
kindness costs nothing and means everything
”. Here is our certificate and Kindness Seal for our participation in this national challenge.

Congratulations to the PAWS Club recipients, Keira Burke, Francesa Tolich, Ginger Clarke, Piers Gorecki-Cook and John Ecklund. As a school community, we filled up our character bucket (AGAIN!) and earned an extra 10 minutes of recess this Friday. Together, our Cool Cats are learning that showing their PAWS results in positive outcomes!

|
Finally, please take a look at our growing Lost and Found collection. These items are located on the bottom floor in our two-story building. Unclaimed items will be donated in the near future, so please consider stopping by to browse our growing collection of gems.

Have a PAWSitively wonderful week!
Kind regards,

Mathnasium
is a specialized math only Learning Center where students can go year-round to boost their math skills. It is effective, affordable and highly specialized. Our goal is to teach math in a way that makes sense to kids; develop their number sense and mathematical thinking. All Mathnasium students receive one-on-one instruction using a customized learning plan based on the unique needs and goals of each child. We focus on filling in the gaps in your child's mathematical foundations while providing him or her with the help, guidance, and encouragement necessary to tackle what's being taught in school. The results are measurable progress, a renewed sense of confidence, and a positive attitude towards math and learning.
