Biennial Reunion Plans Take Shape
|
Join the Wisconsin Real Estate Alumni Association (WREAA) at the 2018 Biennial Wisconsin Real Estate Conference and Reunion, September 13-15, in Madison, Wisconsin! Networking opportunities will abound on
Thursday, September 13, beginning with the Badger Golf Outing, to be held at University Ridge Golf Course. Three small group networking events are scheduled for late afternoon; the Women's Reception, a Student Speed Networking event, and a VIP reception. Attendees are encouraged to gather on the Grand Plaza at the Edgewater on Thursday evening to join WREAA at the Welcome Reception, sponsored by Eastdil Secured. The Alumni Banquet, featuring mentalist Oz Pearlman, will follow the reception. The banquet will wrap up with a new event for attendees, 5th Quarter Cocktails on the Grand Plaza.
On Friday, September 14th, the conference will return to the newly renovated Memorial Union with author and geopolitical strategist Peter Zeihan scheduled to give the opening keynote. Friday's program includes a Fireside Chat, concurrent panel sessions covering the retail sector and capital markets, and a panel with real estate entrepreneurs. Premier networking opportunities are planned throughout the day, beginning with the Morning Networking Break and ending with the Closing Reception. The current conference schedule is available at the

WREAA has reserved a room block at the Edgewater Hotel for the 2018 Biennial Reunion. Rooms in the block are available September 13-15 at a special rate of $195/Tues-Friday and $239/Saturday. The rate will be available until

Victory for UW Real Estate
at Villanova

Congratulations to the UW Madison student team and advisor Arif Qureshi for their 1st place ranking during the 2018 Villanova Real Estate Challenge. The team which consisted of Austin Jansen, Austin Wolske, Brett Bousquet, and Blaine Barker, developed a feasibility proposal for a 30,500 sqft site in downtown Philadelphia adjacent to a train station for Brandywine Realty Trust. Scot Eisendrath is the Market Representative for San Diego in the Southern California Region. Scot has a broad range of experience within the real estate industry, and has participated in the acquisition, disposition, development, asset management and/or financing of $8 billion of real estate assets including in excess of 30,000 multifamily units and 20 million square feet of commercial space. Scot is a Principal and Managing Director of Pathfinder Partners, LLC, a San Diego based real estate investment firm specializing in opportunistic and value-add residential real estate investments. Prior to his role at Pathfinder, Scot was a Managing Director of a national real estate brokerage firm. He managed a staff that provided comprehensive financial and analytical consulting services for prominent corporate clients, pension funds, insurance companies, financial institutions, REIT's, developers and other institutional clients.

The Wisconsin Real Estate Alumni Association is pleased to announce that recipients for the 2018 scholarships have been chosen! Through the generous support of UW
-Madison Real Estate alumni and friends, WREAA is able to fund and administer four annual scholarships worth a total of $19,000. Many thanks to the twenty alumni volunteers who donated their time and expertise to read and evaluate the scholarship applications and essays submitted by students.
