Robotics Recognized at Worlds
The Orange High School Flying Circuits Robotics team represented the District extremely well last month at the FIRST Robotics World Championship in Detroit, MI. Competing against more than 400 teams from 18 different countries, the team went toe-to-toe with the best in the world. The team received the Design Creativity Award, held on to the number one ranked position through the seventh round, qualified for the playoffs, and advanced to the playoff quarterfinals.
OHS Recognized by US News, GreatSchools
Orange High School is celebrating double national recognition! OHS earned a “Best High School National Award" (score of 97/100) in U.S. News and World Report's  annual "Best High Schools in America." Orange finished in the top 3% nationally. The rankings include data on more than 23,000 public schools. Awards were based on schools' performances on state assessments and how well students are prepared for college. OHS also was recognized with a "GreatSchools College Success Award," which recognizes public schools that are doing an outstanding job of preparing graduating seniors for postsecondary success.
OHS Students: Inducted into NHS, NTHS
Congratulations to the 43 Orange High School students who were inducted into the National Honor Society last month. They are required to adhere to the four tenets of this prestigious organization including leadership, scholarship, character and service. OHS also had five Excel TECC students inducted into the National Technical Honor Society. These students had to achieve a 3.5 overall GPA and a 4.0 GPA in their program to be eligible for this honor.
