Within our company, persons performing LOTO (interacting with breakers / disconnects) must wear PPE per the equipment label. This creates a challenge when due to chemical exposure reasons, their footwear is limited to Neoprene boots. Requiring operators to have a 2nd pair of safety shoes and then needing to switch shoes would be an issue as the MCC areas are within the production areas. Would leather spats typically used by welders be an acceptable covering?
