2019 Session Extended

The 2019 Legislative Session was scheduled to end by today at midnight, but session was extended earlier this week because the budget did not get done on time and the constitutionally-required 72 hour "cooling off" period between publication and passage of the budget will not end until Saturday. Consequently, session has been extended until tomorrow afternoon. Between now and then, the House and Senate will be in high gear, passing bills as quickly as they can and finally - if things go as planned - completing their work and heading home tomorrow.

Because so much is still pending, this Legislative Link only contains the link below to priority United Way bill updates. Your final, 2019 Wrap-up Edition of the Legislative Link will be published next Friday and will highlight budget and substantive issues of import to United Ways and the communities we serve.
