Napa Bookmine at Oxbow hosts a book signing with David Kerns, a retired hospital executive and Stanford medical professor turned author. Fortnight on Maxwell Street is a reluctant hero's journey of fear and courage set in Chicago in the spring of 1968. A 24-year-old medical student's character and resourcefulness are tested in the extreme when a national tragedy intervenes.

Napa Bookmine at Oxbow hosts a book signing with Jessica Battilana, author of Repertoire: All the Recipes You Need. It is a beautiful, approachable cookbook filled with 75 recipes that reflect the way the San Francisco Chronicle Repertoire columnist really cooks at home.The book is filled with her collection of foolproof recipes, peppered with beautifully rendered stories, plus tricks and techniques gleaned from family and fellow chefs.

EECNC  bus grant
NAPA BOOKMINE SALES SUPPORT THE ENVIRONMENT

Let's celebrate Earth Day this year by helping young Napans learn about the environment. Napa Bookmine has partnered with the Environmental Education Coalition of Napa County (EECNC) to raise money for their Field Trip Bus Grant Program. The EECNC offers grants to educators to pay for bus transportation for environmental education field trips. Today through April 22 (Earth Day), 20% of your purchase of books on the front display table will be donated to the Bus Grant Fund.

They have selected flavors and components unique to the Five Dot case and have tried to create standalone flavor profiles that are just as amazing in a bun or served with rice. The Oxbow Cheese & Wine Merchant has brought in a new cheddar from Ireland. This cheddar is produced by Tom Burgess on his farm in West Wicklow. Tom's motto is "from pasture to cheddar the same day," which ensures that the freshest milk is used to produce this fruity, nutty, sweet cheddar.


Fatted Calf Jerky of the Month
FATTED CALF JERKY OF THE MONTH

To celebrate the publication of its new book, Jerky, The Fatted Calf will be making a special jerky recipe each month. In addition to its traditional smoked bourbon and molasses beef jerky, Fatted Calf will also be offering Quanta, an Ethiopian-style beef jerky, during the month of April.
