by teaching meaningful Bible classes at Genesis school. She has also worked closely with our Genesis teachers to help grow their faith and Biblical knowledge and to help them weave a Biblical world view into all of their curriculum. Melanie has been an invaluable contributor to our media productions and has visited many of our supporters in the U.S. to offer ministry updates.
We are happy to announce that Melanie is engaged to be married later this year to Paul Waisukirawa, an attorney originally from nearby Mbale who now lives and works in Kampala, the capital city of Uganda. With this wonderful news comes sad news for us, that Melanie will be leaving us later this year and returning to the U.S. for she and Paul’s wedding and to remain for several years. They desire to return to Uganda in several years to build a life in Kampala where they hope to be involved in ministry as well. We wish Melanie and Paul the very best and are so very thankful for Melanie's commitment and work with us the past 7 years.
Laura Jones and Elizabeth Costley have been a true blessing to the ministry the past two years
and we are excited to see how God continues to use them as they continue their work with us.
They work endless hours at our Genesis school working in our Jump Start program serving our
struggling students. They also role model to and coach our teachers to help them learn new
teaching methods. We have been raising funds to build a missionary home with 3 units to house these young ladies and future missionaries. Construction began on our first 2 units and we hope to have them ready for Laura and Elizabeth to move into at the end of June. Thank you to all who contributed to this need as we want to take good care of those who are serving with us.
