March 2018
President's Message
Dear Coaches,

Happy Spring and welcome to an exciting time for our Chapter!

In mid March, I had the privilege of attending the ICF Global Leaders Forum (GLF) in Vancouver, Canada. I experienced three days of amazing energy, passion and rich learning. We came together to share our personal and chapter experiences, life changing stories and the wisdom from chapter leaders from all over the world.

What struck me the most from GLF is that you, our members, are passionate and hungry to learn, you act with integrity, ethical practice, and you with your hearts and minds, are taking our profession to the next level. Thank you for what you do, and more importantly, for who you are. We are here to support your professional growth, and appreciate all you do for our coaching community.

The ICF 2018 Strategic-plan  was presented and here are the areas of focus for our chapter:
  • ICF promotes professional coaching
  • ICF further develops and progresses the plans to expand the scope and influence of the organization
I am proud and excited to announce that during the GLF, ICF NYC received the  ICF Chapter Recognition Award, an award recognizing high performing chapters. I was
honored to receive this award on behalf of you, our members, and our board.

Thank you to everyone who made our March 20th event possible, Team Coaching in Organizations: A Corporate, Leadership and Academic Perspective: Dr. Krister Lowe, our evening's facilitator, keynote speaker: Dr. Tomas Chamorro-Premuzic, our panelists: Steven Schloss, Dr. Ruth Wageman, Gabe Abella, Masa Gong, and Dr. Jonathan Kirshner. Our Sponsors: Hogan Assessments, AIIR Consulting, and Partners International. And our talented and dedicate committee who brought their vision, drive and dedication together to make this happen: Susan Ginsberg-O'Sullivan, Robin Schletter, Carolyn Carlson, Yana Blackwelder, Mary Walsh, and our volunteers.
