The Big Picture in Early Learning:
Using Collective Impact in Miami-Dade to Organize Data Across Systems
The first speaker series event resulting from the Synergy Symposium.
May 15, 2019 - 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. - The Miami-Dade IDEAS Consortium for Children will present progress, findings to date, and its vision for moving forward, followed by break-out sessions to cull feedback from an audience of diverse, community-based professionals.
Social Emotional Program Quality Assessment Planning with Data
Trust-funded youth development (6-12) providers are urged to register for the upcoming SEL PQA Planning with Data workshop. This workshop will guide participants in the interpretation of their program self-assessment and CAT observation data, and focus on using this data to create actionable improvement plans and support effective continuous quality improvement. One representative from each provider agency MUST be present at one of the sessions; however, we strongly encourage that a team consisting of a program manager and up to four direct staff attend the workshop together. Summer-only programs need not attend any of these sessions, as another series created for summer-only providers will be announced in future. Workshop: How to Avoid Caregiver Burnout
It's easy to forget about our own emotional well-being when we are caring for young students all day long. Join Thomas Armour Youth Ballet and Connect Miami to learn how to avoid burnout with simple routines that can be implemented every day to help regulate emotions and stress levels.   • Research & Evaluation Analyst To serve as a critical member of both cross- and interdepartmental teams who engages in proactive problem-solving and critical thinking/analysis related to particular child, youth and family program areas and populations. Primary responsibilities include the identification and critical review of evidence-based/best practices in specified program areas; assistance for funded service providers and Trust staff on development of program performance measures; oversight of reporting methods for capturing program performance; regular appraisal of basic program performance statistics and data analyses; contribution to reports that explain initiative results to a variety of audiences; and systems enhancement to ensure accountability. This exempt salaried position works under general supervision and support of a senior research and evaluation analyst.

Children’s Savings Account (CSA) Program Manager *

  • Youth Prevention Specialist * Successful applicant will implement curriculums in middle/high schools, and facilitate sessions; conduct outreach, recruitment, intakes and assessments. Provide internal referrals to families as needed; administer evaluation instruments and collect data. Research, obtain, and organize resources to guide clients in making educational, vocational, and employment decisions. Bachelor’s degree in Social Science (or related experience) required, with a demonstrated ability to relate effectively with people of diverse cultural and economic backgrounds. A demonstrated ability to support and work effectively with young people whilst maintaining a safe environment is required.
