Few Spaces Remain to be a Vendor at The Hooley on Kamm's Corners™2018

Hurry to get your business, organization, or art in front of some 30,000 people at West Park's Homecoming, The Hooley on Kamm's Corners™. It is THE place to be on Saturday, May 12. Applications are rolling in for:

Live music, festival food, engaging entertainment, and family activities take place from noon until 8 p.m. on Lorain Avenue, from Rocky River Drive to West 168th Street. The event is produced by Kamm's Corners Development Corporation with presenting sponsor Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital. Spring For Hope Evening Happens on April 12   
 
Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital invites you to the 2nd Annual Spring For Hope to support the new Center for Autism on the west side. The event takes place on Thursday, April 12, at 6 p.m. at the Don Umerley Civic Center, 21016 Hilliard Boulevard, Rocky River, 44116. It is dedicated to providing awareness and funding to help with the significant out-of-pocket costs for families getting early intervention therapy for a child with autism. Grand Opening Party Set for New West Park Historical Society Location

The West Park Historical Society invites the community to the grand opening of their new location at 17401 Lorain Avenue, from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 29. Free food and refreshments will be available to add to the festivities. While there, note the walls lined with more than 100 historical West Park photographs at the society's new, permanent office. Check it out and meet members. Sign up to join and learn more about their mission. This ground floor location features a meeting room, which is available to rent and holds up to 60 people. Kamm's Corners Farmers Market and Other Local Favorites Named Finalists for Best of the West 2018

Kamm's Corners Farmers Market (KCFM) is proud to be recognized by Cleveland Magazine as a 2018 finalist for Best of the West. As a result, KCFM will have a booth at the annual Best of the West party at LaCentre Conference Banquet Facility in Westlake from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, April, 12. Summer Baseball and Softball Registration Is Underway

West Denison Baseball, operators of our summer concession stand at Asphalt Cinema, is a non-profit community organization run solely by volunteers. They offer a full summer of athletic activity for children of all ages and for adults, too. They have an office at 3556 West 105th Street, but with limited hours, it is better to call first at 216-251-5790. Tri-League, Inc. is another popular option for youth baseball and softball in West Park. They have an office at 4462 West 130th Street, with hours on Wednesday, from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The league accepts youths ages 4 to 18 for several levels as appropriate, including tee ball, coach pitch, softball, and baseball. There is an adult league for 18 and older. Registration is offered online, here.

The First District Police Community Relations Board welcomes residents to their monthly meeting this Thursday, April 5, and the first Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. at Saint Ignatius of Antioch Church, 10205 Lorain Avenue. Meet and talk with the officers who serve West Park.

A Summer Job JumpStart for young adults ages 14 to 20 takes place on Saturday, April 14, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Gunning Recreation Center, 16700 Puritas Avenue. See registration details and the schedule of events at the flyer, here

St. Augustine Health Ministries will host its annual Top of the Towers Benefit Night

West Park United Church of Christ, 3909 Rocky River Drive, is holding a "Fabulous 50s Fund-Raising Dinner"
in support of its capital campaign on Saturday, April 14, at 6:30 p.m. Enjoy a family-style dinner of classic meatloaf, fried chicken, scalloped potatoes, and Jello salad with apple pie a la mode for dessert for only $15 for adults and $5 for children under 12. A sing-a-long of 50s pop hits follows dinner. Guests may buy tickets for a chance to win themed gift baskets throughout the night. Call the church office at 216-671-7228 for tickets. The George Varouh Cretan Club, 3853 West 168th Street, is hosting a reverse raffle and dinner on Saturday, April 28, to support their scholarship fund. Only 150 tickets will be sold. The West Park Kiwanis Club is seeking participants for the annual Kamm's Corners Independence Day Parade, taking place on Wednesday, July 4, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Click here for the application. Before June 25, registration is $70, except local non-profits pay $35. After June 25, the registration fee is $100 for all.
