May Crowning School Mass
This year, Bishop Michael Duca will be the Celebrant on Thursday, May 9th, for our School
May Crowning
Mass at 8:15 am in MBS Church. Each year an 8th grade girl is selected to crown the statue of Blessed Mother. To mark this special occasion, we ask
all of our students (except the 2nd Graders who will be in the Crowning Procession)
to
bring some flowers
to adorn our Marian Shrine. Students may bring a single flower or a small bunch of flowers to place at Mary’s feet. The flowers will be collected at the opening of the service and placed at the Shrine.
This Mass will also have a special blessing for our 8th Grade class.
All families are reminded that MAY is the MONTH OF MARY, and is a wonderful time for
praying the Rosary
. Mary has the important role in our history as the God-Bearer, and deserves special honor for her role in our salvation.
Come, bring flowers for our Blessed Mother, and join us for our annual
May Crowning at 8:15 am on Thursday, May 9, 2019.

Office of Child Protection
|
|
According to the Safe Environment Policy mandated by the Diocese of Baton Rouge,
all parish and school ministry volunteers/chaperones
must complete a mandatory background check and child protection training. Please note that MBS School child protection requirements are not the same as MBS Parish. Therefore if you are compliant for the Parish, you are not automatically compliant for the School, and vice versa. It is important to remember the paperwork is time sensitive. If you began the process and did not complete all the steps in a timely manner, you may have to resubmit the paperwork. Many files have been archived due to inactivity, and/or files not being updated.
Child Protection credentials allow the holder of these credentials the opportunity to chaperone/volunteer at MBS Parish and School. All credentialed adults must abide by the sign-up and confirmation process for each event.
