VCHS has made it through round one of finals, with all of our students finishing their 1st and 2nd period finals today and all of our seniors are now "done with classes" and about to enjoy the privilege of a trip to Disneyland after this three day weekend. We pray safe travels on them, wish them well-earned fun and then a few days to rest before Graduation 2018.
I want to invite you all to join us Thursday, May 31st at 7pm on Falcon Field to celebrate the Class of 2018. VCS Radio Jazz will provide a musical backdrop for the evening as our graduates walk across the stage to accept their diplomas. Join Us!!
We will be closed Monday. Happy Memorial Day Weekend!
In His Service,
Joseph Rowland

Scheduling for the 2018/19 school year continues at VCHS.
Course worksheets went home with your student in
their homeroom classes and we are collecting them still. We have extra forms in the office if they've misplaced theirs. I am hoping to have most of our students placed in class periods by midweek (Wednesday, May 30th).
If you have not yet, please take some time this weekend to sit down with your student and choose classes for next year. Class schedules require a parent signature.
If your student is having difficulty putting their schedules together, we have started a list in the high school office. Mr. Renick and Mr. Rowland are calling students from the list in to work out an equitable schedule for those with 'problems'.

Mr. Gier addresses the senior class at Baccalaureate 2018.
Mr. Gier has announced his retirement at the end of this school year. The high school office is collecting monetary donations to provide a nice retirement gift for Russ, his wife, Wanda and his children/grandchildren. If you are interested in contributing, please just drop yours off in the office before the end of school.
We have been blessed by him and want to be a blessing in return. Best Wishes Gier Family!!!

Calling all volunteers...
For those families who have not fulfilled your service hour requirement, there are a few options left for you.
Wednesday, May 30th, 700 chairs will be delivered at 7:30am to Falcon Field for Graduation. Those chairs will need to be placed neatly in rows. The stage also will be delivered that day and we will set up the back drop and curtains as well. If you have time that morning, I could use the help. Just let me know if you are available asap.
