To ensure your child's space for next year, signed tuition contracts for all returning students are DUE by THIS FRIDAY, APRIL 13th.  
It's ALLERGY SEASON!
The office is getting lots of visits from children suffering from seasonal allergies.
 As you can imagine, nothing is more distracting and miserable for a child who is in class suffering from itchy scratchy red eyes, runny nose and sneezing. To prevent us from calling you to pick up your child, and to keep  your child from suffering unnecessarily, please be sure they take allergy medication before coming to school in the morning. The school office can not dispense allergy medication to children.  Thank you!

(Note: May is the last hot lunch of the year. NO Hot Lunch in June.)
UNIFORM ORDERS FOR AUGUST
There will be an opportunity to TRY ON and ORDER school uniforms for AUGUST delivery.
Dates are being set now for early June and will be posted in an upcoming newsletter. 
This will be the ONLY time that uniforms can be purchased using a credit card.

Important to note:
Incoming 4th grade girls transition into the plaid skirt.
All 4-8th girls must now be in the new plaid skirt 
(old Denis Uniform plaid skirts no longer to be worn)
We highly recommend all students purchase and wear the St. Rose logo polo shirts daily. 
All K-6th boys & girls should have at least 1 (one) for dress uniform days. 
(School polo's are only $20)
Incoming 7th & 8th students must have Cardinal sweatshirt
Service Hour Opportunity 
Ms. KC is looking for a few volunteers to work the upcoming uniform try on dates in June and to assist parents, new and old, with placing their uniform orders.
Please do not call the office, but send Ms. KC  an email if you are interested and she will send you the details.  (All volunteers must meet Diocese volunteer requirements)

A Note from Mrs. Ryan    
Dear Parents, 

St. Rose has always enjoyed a marvelous community spirit. I believe that many of you would list it among the top three things you love about St. Rose. During this difficult year, our community spirit has been stronger than ever. However, the situation that we had while we were down at the parish did not allow for parents to spend time on campus and many parents got in the habit of just staying in their cars and conducting most business through email. We have missed you and I think you have missed each other. Please know that you are welcome on campus and I am always happy to see you in the parking lot, on the playground in the mornings, and at the front counter in the office. I believe we need to be together, and our students benefit from seeing us together.
 
As you will see in today's newsletter, our Dads' Club has arranged for a lovely parents-only social event that will take place the evening of April 28 th. I hope you will consider attending. The Dads' Club is a valuable organization at St. Rose that gives dads the opportunity to network with each other, raise funds for pet projects, and build our community spirit. They are worthy of our support.
 
Perhaps your children have informed you that the framing for the reconstruction of the Kindergarten and 2 nd grade classrooms has begun. In addition, the shade structure is currently being installed for the play equipment in the fenced area and should be ready by the end of the week.
 
The new HVAC system that will include air conditioning for the main building will go forward this summer and will be ready for the fall heat waves that are certain to occur. Everyone is excited about this worthy project and you will soon receive more information on how you can be part of it all.

St. Rose Summer Sport Camps
For over 25 years, St. Rose has offered Summer Sport Camps for it's students, friends and family.

Our camps are not only FUN, but are geared toward the sports that are offered in the North Bay Catholic School League in which we are a member of. (Our VB & BB camps are run by local high school coaches)

Field trip Drivers must provide the following to school office:
1. Declaration Page of your insurance policy, showing coverage amounts, cars, covered driver names, and expiration date of policy. 
2. Insurance coverage's for drivers must meet or exceed Diocese requirements - 
see volunteer instructions below for coverage amounts.
3. Must provide current photo copy of valid CA drivers licence to school office

This process can take a few weeks to complete. Don't wait until the last minute to complete if you want to drive on field trip, chaperone an event, or volunteer on campus.
