Volunteer of the Month
Basement Boutique Volunteers

For the month of February Contact Ministries would like to recognize the hard working women that volunteer in our Basement Boutique preparing all the donations for selection by our clients to receive 100% free of charge. There are several ways that a woman can volunteer in our boutique. On Monday and Friday of each week women come and assist in sorting and organizing all of the clothing donations that we are blessed in receiving. On Wednesday we have our women's shopping day where clients from the community are allowed to shop in our boutique. On this day several volunteers are needed to help clients find the items they need, count the number of items received, escort clients to and from the basement and refill the racks as shoppers are finished.

Following are many of the volunteers that
have given countless hours to help us in continuing to serve the community through the Basement Boutique. Not pictured are: Mandi Miller, Katie Zinn, Lynn McMenamin and Elaine Mellinger. We also have two new recruits that recently stepped up to volunteer and they are Missy Ray and Diane Dietz.

THANK YOU TO ALL THESE LOVELY LADIES!! WE ARE BLESSED TO HAVE YOU ALL CONTINUING YOUR LOVE AND SUPPORT OF CONTACT MINISTRIES.

We are very proud of Kleesa one of our Transitional Shelter Residents who graduated in January from Fishes and Loaves CNA School.  She received a scholarship through Sangamon County Resources. We believe working together we can accomplish more than working independently!

Contact Ministries provides tutoring every Tuesday afternoon for our school aged children.  Our volunteer tutors provide excellent care that inspires us and our students every week.  We appreciate them so much.

Students from St. Agnes School blessed us with their random act of kindness by handing out muffins to clients and staff.
