Summer Book Adventures
June 1 - July 31
The Broomfield Library offers Summer Book Adventures for ALL ages - children, teens, and adults!  The last day to register is Monday, July 23, and the last day to turn in logs and get prizes is Tuesday, July 31.
Registration REQUIRED.

FREE Summer Films
Tuesdays, June 5 - July 24, 7 p.m. - Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Join us Tuesday evenings in the Broomfield Auditorium for free summer films! Seating is limited and available on a first-come,first-served basis. Children under 13 must be accompanied by someone 13 or older.
Drop-in (NO registration).

Wonderful Wednesdays & Fabulous Fridays Are Back!
June 6 - July 25, Wednesdays at 2 p.m., Fridays at 10:30 a.m.
Enjoy free art, music, science and cultural programs! Wonderful Wednesdays are designed for elementary aged kids and their families.  Fabulous Fridays are intended for families with preschool aged children. FREE tickets are available in the Auditorium lobby beginning 1 hour before each performance.

Unsung Heroes: Lesser-Known Composers You'll Want to Know
Thursday, June 7, 7 - 8 p.m.
There are many composers who made wonderful music in America - composers who deserve to be heard, but rarely are. Their names may not ring a bell, but in this Active Minds program, we'll bring some of them front and center! For ages 15+.

Geocache Your Library
Monday, June 11, 1 - 2 p.m.
Hey, teens, come learn about GPS scavenger hunts! Explore how geocaching works and collaborate to find geocaches around the library. For ages 11-18.

Summer Dance Party
Wednesday, June 13, 6 - 7 p.m.
Get ready to dance the night away! In this program for the whole family, we will enjoy dancin' and rockin' to some new and old kid favorites! Parents are encouraged to show off their moves with their kids! For families.

A Brief History of Colorado Through Time
Thursday, June 14, 7 - 8 p.m.
Enjoy an animated journey through the geological history of Colorado, created by the Interactive Geology Project, and participate in a discussion with professor Paul Weimer, Director of the Energy and Minerals Applied Research Center. For ages 15+.

Can You Ukulele? Workshops for Kids, Teens, & Adults
Wednesday, June 20, 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. (For ages 11-18)
Saturday, June 23, 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. (For adults ages 18+)
Thursday, June 28, 1 - 1:45 p.m. (For ages 5-8)
Thursday, June 28, 2 - 3 p.m. (For ages 9-11)
Learn the basics of playing the ukulele! Explore parts of the ukulele, some basic chords, strumming technique, and a song or two! Ukuleles provided by Swallow Hill Music.

Colorado 14ers: Intro to Conquering Them 
Thursday, July 12, 7 - 8 p.m.
Learn what you need to know before you climb a 14er! This presentation by local experts from Jax Mercantile will include information on helpful supplies and clothing to bring with you, as well as the different skill levels required for some of the more popular hikes. For ages 15+.

Early Literacy Fair (FREE!)
Saturday, July 21, 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Come to the library to play and learn with your kids! Experience many fun, hands-on early literacy activities you can replicate at home to help prepare your child for school and life. Sign in near the library lobby entrance. Each participating child will receive a free book, courtesy of Bal Swan Children's Center. The Early Literacy Fair is presented by If Not You, Who? Incluye actividades en Español! For ages newborn-5 years with attending adult.

Let's Talk: You In Nature
Saturday, July 28, 1 - 4 p.m.
Let's Talk is a series designed to promote community conversations to allow for compassion and a broader understanding of the human experience. In this session, equine therapist Pam Thode will give a live horse demo and discuss how her trainings support mental health. Then, Kelley Rawlsky will lead a horticulture therapy exercise and discuss the role of horticulture in mental health. For ages 13+.

Robotics Day at inventHQ

Artist-in-Residence: Pinot's Palette
People of all ages and levels had a blast painting with a professional artist at our Artist-in-Residence sessions. We will have a chalk artist - Katerina Vuletich - at our next Artist-in-Residence session in August, so don't miss out! Enjoy more photos on our Facebook page.
