Children's Media Career Symposium
On Thursday, April 11, a group of children’s media experts spoke at the
Center for Media and Information Literacy
's second Children’s Media Career Symposium. The evening included a panel focused on trends in children’s media and a second panel focused on career opportunities in the industry. Discussions were followed by questions from the audience and networking time in which students could engage with the children’s media professionals. [

released a second version of its free, news literacy browser extension. This "Information Only" version of the extension replaces its red and green badges with black and white "information" badges. This version of the extension is available exclusively for educators and librarians who want to give their students and patrons access to NewsGuard's Nutrition Labels without labeling content as green or red. educational game, A Day in the Life of the Jos, students in grades six to eight help the brother and sister team, Jo and Josie, with situations they encounter online as they go about a typical day in their lives. The modules are represented as five days in the lives of Jo and Josie, covering topics that research has identified as being important for youth. The annual license fee includes access to the interactive game, teacher's guide, interactive quizzes, progress trackers, and performance evaluations. [
