Lone Finalist Selected!

Last night, the Board of Education met in Closed Session to consider the two rounds of superintendent candidate interviews conducted on Friday, April 26, and Saturday, April 27.  The Board is very excited to announce that after a comprehensive search process and careful consideration of the community input it received, it has selected a lone finalist for the SMUSD superintendent position.  The Board hopes to reveal the identity of the lone finalist by the end of this week.  Subject to contract negotiations and a thorough background check, the Board expects the lone finalist to be approved as the next SMUSD superintendent at its next regularly scheduled meeting on May 14, 2019.
