YEARBOOK DISTRIBUTION THIS THURSDAY!
 
Yearbooks will be distributed THIS THURSDAY from 3:10 pm - 3:30 pm in the West Gym. All purchasers will receive (during classes Wednesday and Thursday) a "TICKET" to pick up their yearbook. (There is a list of purchasers on the board outside room I-219.) 

If you did not pre-purchase a yearbook, there will be about 50 yearbooks available for purchase in the West Gym on Thursday. They will be sold on a cash-only, first-come, first-serve basis.

NOTE: there will be no yearbooks distributed Friday. Any books not picked up Thursday will be available in room I-219 during both lunches starting Monday, May 6.

NEW CLASS AT SMOKY:
Smoky Hill High School will be offering the very first CCSD  I ntroduction to  Chicana/Chicano Studies  as a concurrent enrollment class with college credit offered through Metropolitan State University. This is a college level course for juniors and seniors, but we will consider highly motivated sophomores. PTCO THANKS VOLUNTEERS:

The PTCO would like to THANK all the parents who volunteered and/or donated items for After Prom.  We had a great turnout of kids and fun was had by all. It wouldn't have been possible without you!!!.  

We would especially like to thank the following:

Decorations: Amber Suarez who handled the overall decorations that truly transformed Smoky Hill. Michelle Walton, Mark and Lisa Gray, Bea Navarrette, Joseph Newman, Dawn Bradford and Jasmine Bradford for decorating the school.

Casino: Terry Spears who was our pit boss. Greg Cann, Mike Power, Rodney Lie, Mary Saindon, Lisa Cossey, Nicholas Carpenter, Miguel Suarez, Jen Nieves, Cristi Wayne, Jayne Arithson, Todd Schieck, for working in the casino area. 

Others: Margaret Power and Gisela Boianelli for working the prize table. Janice and Tim Sapp for working wherever we needed them all night. 
Fernando Ovalle,  Scott Bussard, Tina Grimble, Jeanine Payne, Jennie Lie, Cheryl Simon, Lou and Mike Jezier for working registration. Nicole, Stanley Brechtel-Brown, and Gina Ping for working the food table. Also, a big shout out to Stugo for helping till the wee hours of the morning. Anyone else we may have missed and the countless others that donated money, gift cards and food for the event.

SENIOR PARENTS:
Senior Celebration will be held Friday, May 3rd from 9:00AM - 1:00PM and we are in need of donations for this event. Traditionally over 500 students and staff attend the festivities.  Nonperishable food items (pre-packaged items) can be dropped off Thursday, May 2nd in Activities before 3:00PM or on Friday morning, the day of the event.  Perishable food items (side dishes/salads/fruit trays) can be dropped off with your student Friday morning.  If you wish to donate money, we will purchase what is needed.   Please drop off cash or checks to the Activities desk before Friday or donate HERE .  If you have any questions, please contact Dawn Michael at  shhsptco@gmail.com.
