Dear Parents, 

We were so glad to see all of our smiling students today! We hope that all of our families enjoyed the Easter Holidays.

We "hit the ground running" as we return from spring break.  There are quite a few things happening this week.  Please see all the details listed below.   


CCCS Spirit Day at Briquette's Steakhouse
Wednesday, April 11

This Wednesday, April 11, is CCCS spirit day at Briquettes Steakhouse on Schillinger Road, sponsored by our PTO.   It is all day.  You can enjoy a delicious meal and our school will benefit!



Field Day
April 26

Our annual field day will be held on Thursday, April 26. T-shirt orders are due this Wednesday, April 11. Late orders will not be accepted. Look for more information concerning field day to be sent home soon!

Holocaust Speaker
Thursday, April 12, 9:30 a.m. 

We are honored to have Holocaust survivor Allan Hall share his experiences with our middle school students on April 12 at 9:30. Parents are welcome to attend his presentation. 

Allan Hall was born in Cracow, Poland.  His story involves fleeing from the German army; living in hiding in Lvov, Warsaw and Cracow; and surviving imprisonment.  On two occasions he faced extermination at the hands of the Nazis and escaped.  The family was liberated in Cracow in February, 1945.  They came to the U.S. in 1947.  Hall holds degrees in building construction, engineering, and law. He has taught at the University of Florida, practiced law, and served as a project consultant in the construction industry.

Food Pantry Friday
This Friday

We will continue to support the Blessings in a Backpack ministry as we participate in Food Pantry Friday this week. Students are asked to bring in the following if they are able:
K-2:     Plastic jars of Peanut Butter and Jelly
3-5:      Canned Vegetables
6-8:      Ritz or Saltine Crackers

Students who bring in a food item may wear their spirit shirt instead of their regular uniform shirt.


First Eucharist
This Sunday


Please keep our 2nd grade students in your prayers as they make their first holy communion this Sunday at 1:00 p.m. We know they have been preparing their hearts to receive this special sacrament .


K of C Fundraiser for Bleachers
April 21st, 5:30 p.m.

We are in the process of work ing with an engineering firm in putting together a plan to repair the erosion and washout problems that are affecting our bleachers and playground area. The Corpus Christi Knights of Columbus are hosting a fundraiser on April 21 to help with this project.

PTO News

The PTO meeting that was scheduled for April 17 has been postponed. Please join us on Saturday, April 21 for a PTO Campus Beautification Day.
 
Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 5! Our PTO and Booster Club are planning a wonderful fundraiser for our school featuring the Kentucky Derby. It is sure to be a great time!    The ticket order form can be found
