Joint Farmamerica-Junior Achievement Programming teaches local students about careers in Agriculture
On
May 1st - 4th, local area 7th and 8th graders will get a chance to explore their futures and potential careers in Agriculture at Farmamerica. This unique program combines the Junior Achievement career readiness curriculum, JA It's My Future, with volunteers from various agriculture careers and hands-on science experiments centered on agriculture research.
Volunteers needed: Whether you realize it or not, you have a really neat career story that students would find both interesting and relatable. You can impact your community by empowering local students to look inward and outward as they begin to explore career interests, specifically in the agriculture industry.

How to Create Videos for Social Media
Hannah Bretz from the Small Business Development Center, MSU Mankato, will lead this class through a hands-on demonstration on how to make videos for Facebook, Instagram, and more. Hannah will help class attendees learn techniques to create short and engaging videos that will bring more followers and audiences to businesses on social media. She will share her experience in best practices and techniques for tagging and promoting videos online.
*Attendees should bring their phones/video recording devices as this is a hands on learning session

Mayo Clinic Health System leadership announced that
Kirby Johnson has been named site administrator for Mayo Clinic Health System in Waseca and New Prague.
In his new role he, along with his physician partner, Martin Herrmann, M.D., Mayo Clinic Health System in Waseca medical director, will provide organizational leadership and direction for the hospital in Waseca and clinics in Janesville and Waterville. He will also be serving as site administrator for Mayo Clinic Health System in New Prague and its clinics in New Prague and Belle Plaine. Johnson will begin his duties April 9, 2018
