Super Saturday

We had a fun Super Saturday last month! The students created street art about what Breakthrough means to them. This artwork will b e displayed during our summer program, and our incoming class will have a chance to make their own.
In other classes, t h e s tudents learned about gravity and black ho les in science while 8th graders received some guidance about high school course selection.

This Super Saturday als o featured a rousing game of Granite Ball with students versus teachers!

Pipelines and Pathways
Breakthrough Manchester is a critical link in the PATHWAY to college for bright, limited opportunity students, and a PIPELINE for the development of the next generation of excellent teachers.

Connect with us, so that we can better connect these pathways and pipelines for students!

Annual Appeal
Our supporters have enabled Breakthrough Manchester to become New Hampshire's only 6-year, tuition-free college access program for motivated Manchester students with limited opportunities. Your support is vital to the success of our program.

Because of our donors, 85% of our Breakthrough students go on to a 2-year or 4-year college after high school, compared to 72% of all students statewide. Your support means that smart, hard-working students in Manchester are supported in their college-bound aspirations, regardless of their race, heritage, family income, or zip code.

Please consider making a donation before June 30 during our annual appeal. Your support continues to change the world, one student and one teacher at a time.

Our Mission
Our Vision
All young people, regardless of circumstance, can achieve their full potential as students, teachers and leaders.

Our Mission
The dual missions of Breakthrough Manchester are to launch promising Manchester middle school students, particularly those with limited opportunities, on the path to college while inspiring high school and college students to pursue careers in education.

We do this by:
* Recruiting and selectively admitting high-potential sixth graders with limited opportunities from Manchester middle schools for a tuition-free, three-year program
* Providing three rigorous, joyful academic summers and school year supports to admitted students during their middle school years
* Connecting ninth graders with the Breakthrough College-Bound program at Southern NH University to create a seamless pipeline of opportunity
* Recruiting, training, mentoring and supporting college students, and some local high-achieving high school students, as excellent teachers
* Engaging a broad array of stakeholders in understanding, promoting, funding and championing both missions of Breakthrough.

With thanks,

Becky Berk
