CAHEC New Markets Invests in Four High Impact Projects with 
2015-2016 Allocation Round
CAHEC New Markets received $45 million of New Markets Tax Credit ("NMTC") allocation authority in the combined 2015-2016 allocation round. Focusing on investing in community facilities, CAHEC New Markets closed four projects that are anticipated to have long-lasting impacts on their communities. 


Rocky Mount Event Center, located in downtown  Rocky Mount, North Carolina, is a 165,000 square foot multi-purpose event center. Most of the facility is designed as a flexible event space with capacity for 4,400 seats. A health center will also be onsite encompassing 4,500 square feet and  operated  by Opportunities Industrialization Center. 


Located in Clarksburg, West Virginia, The Robinson Grand Performing Arts Center redevelopment will transform a historic, vacant theater built in 1913, into a modern performing arts center with 1,010 seats. The rehabilitation and restoration will also include a multi-purpose banquet hall and 2,500 square feet of classroom space.


The Republic Bank Foundation YMCA will be a newly constructed 77,000 square foot multi-purpose facility designed to improve health equity in west Louisville, Kentucky. This joint venture will feature a new YMCA, a clinic using a patient-centered medical home model, physical therapy practice, counseling services, and a new Republic Bank branch.                                                          



The Southeast Raleigh YMCA/Elementary School is the first phase of a 31-acre master planned site to improve access to education, wellness and fitness activities, and affordable housing in Raleigh, North Carolina.
