Spoiler Alert!!!
We have a new Youth Director.
Paula+ is delighted to announce that she has hired Laurel Coote, who has been a seminarian at St Cross, and will be Ordained a Transitional Deacon on June 2. Laurel has worked with teens in youth ministry, has taken them on mission trips and pilgrimages and is really looking forward to being a part of our parish family.  St Francis helped to sponsor Laurel during her training - see Bellringer February 2018 . Look out for full details in our June Bellringer!
Accommodation Needed
Parishioner Jayne Bray is looking for a new place to live. Her lease expires on June 29th, and she is looking for somewhere that is private (not shared room/bath), unfurnished, and will accept her 15 year-old 16 pound Shih Tzu. Jayne works odd hours so is frequently up and on the computer and/or phone in the middle of the night, but is otherwise pretty quiet. Her current landlord (of 5 years) will give positive recommendation. Budget is about $1400 or absolute max $1500, depending upon utilities. If you know of anywhere that would suit, or have any ideas, please let Jayne know. Many, many thanks in advance.
Other News, and Coming Up!
How You Can Be a Part of The Antique Showl!
First of all, of course, come along and enjoy all the show has to offer! Below are other things we would be most grateful for:

Lemons
We urgently would love donations of lemons—please bring to the kitchen, labeled 'Antiques Show'. We make delicious Lemonade for the Opening Night. Thank you!

Harvest Cupboard sells baked goods, preserves and other goodies made by " you " the parish family. Any favorite of your family will become a favorite of our guests. This is always one of the most popular spots in the entire show! Donations will be gratefully received from Tuesday May 29 on the patio level after 9:00 am. Also, if you have extra shopping bags we can use them! We package items, but please label with the name of the item and any ingredients that may be a problem —nuts, wheat etc. Thank you

Pineapple Rings —We will be decorating these Wednesday morning, 9:30, on the patio level. If you are able to help, please join us. We’d love to see you!

Parking Please help us to free up much needed parking spaces during opening night and the show days by you our great volunteers and workers parking off site. Please park around on Paseo de la Playa or on Camino de Encanto to avoid having to cross Palos Verdes Blvd. Thank you!

Silent Auction Donations
One of the highlights of the Show is the Silent Auction that takes place during the Gala on Wednesday evening. Please contact Gayle Taylor or Hank Gatlin if you would like to donate fun, special or unique items like paintings, collectibles, event tickets, restaurant gift cards, dinner parties, golf or sailing or other outdoor activities or whatever you think our community would love to bid on. The sky is the limit!  Thank you for your consideration and for your support.

Wine
We need donations of wine and Prosecco  to be served during opening night and for afternoon lunch. One or 2 bottles, or a case would be great!! Donations can be left in Elaine's office at church!

Staffing
The staffing committee of the Antiques show wants to thank everyone who has said "yes" to a position. We are still in need of several volunteers to clean up in the kitchen from about 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm Thursday, Friday and Saturday of the show. Call or speak to Elaine (375-4617) or Anna (310 297-0701). Thank you!
