~ NJ Walks for TS ~
There is Still Time to Participate

NJ Walks for TS promotes awareness, acceptance, action, and advocacy of Tourette Syndrome and its associated disorders. This event is about fun and empowerment for kids, by kids, and about kids. It is a chance for the community to stand up and step out to break the stigma attached to TS and show your support for our friends, family, and neighbors living with this misunderstood neurological disorder.
We have children and adults throughout New Jersey creating teams and raising awareness and much needed funds for NJCTS. Some are doing public walks, others private events with friends and family.  The NJ Walks for TS Virtual Walk will allow your family and friends to show support wherever you choose, however you choose, anytime throughout the Spring.
To join the Walk, visit www.njcts.org/virtual and start your team! We have exclusive gifts for our captains. You don't want to miss this event.
NJCTS Covers the State Reaching Thousands

One just needs to take a look at our calendar of events to see where we have been and where we are going. In any given week a Youth Advocate is presenting in a classroom or at a Dare to Dream Conference, volunteers are tabling at a conference, staff is meeting with community members or educating law enforcement about TS, or our clinicians are delivering a Grand Rounds presentation to doctors and med students or presenting an in-service to school faculty. There is a lot of ground to cover and people to reach, but NJCTS is up for the task.

If you would like for us to present to your school, hospital or community group, or you'd like to be part of our outreach team, contact us at [email protected], or call 908.575.7350.

Ask Your Mayor to Declare June 4 Tourette Syndrome Awareness Day in Your Town

Requesting a proclamation is as easy as bringing some sample text to your mayor or town council. It's a simple request and they are happy to help. If you can meet with the mayor and get a picture, we'll share the news of your hardwork on our social media! Just email it to us at [email protected]
This grassroots movement is a great opportunity for kids and families to advocate and become part of the NJCTS effort to stamp out stigma and increase acceptance for all people living with TS.
