NEWS YOU CAN USE
Employers of Excellence

The Dakota-Scott Workforce Development Board (WDB) invites area organizations to participate in the 2019 "Employers of Excellence" program.

This is the fourth year that the WDB is working with Personnel Dynamics Consulting to offer the survey.  Personnel Dynamics gathers the information and will analyze the data and calculate the turnover rates, growth percentages, promotion percentages, and benefit packages for each company. A total of 37 different measurements are analyzed. Each participating company then receives a confidential, personalized report detailing how they compared with other companies in the area and suggestions for improving their work environment.  Additionally, based on the results, the WDB will recognize the businesses who received the top ratings.

There is no cost to the company to complete the survey as those  costs are being covered by the WDB and area sponsors including the Dakota County Community Development Agency and  Scott County Community Development Agency

All employers in Dakota and Scott counties are encouraged to participate. Contact WDB Director Mark Jacobs at 651.554.5622 for more information or go to http://www.personneldynamics.net/survey.asp to start the survey.  Deadline for survey completion is May 31, 2019. Winners will be announced in August.
May Blood Drives

Local blood bank Memorial Blood Centers invites all eligible blood donors to roll up their sleeve and give blood. Every 2 seconds, someone needs blood - from heart transplants and cancer patients to accident victims and premature babies. The need for blood is constant, but the supply is not. Only volunteer blood donors can make a life-saving difference to someone in need.
