New! Amendments to IATA Resolution 890
Effective March 1, 2018, Air Canada will no longer allow cards issued under the name of the agency to be used for payment based on new IATA Resolution 890 which governs customer card sales. Other credit cards including Virtual Account Numbers (VANS)/Virtual Credit Card numbers are not permitted.
"No Card issued in the name of the Agent, or in the name of a person permitted to act on behalf of the Agent, or in the name of the Agent's offices, partner or employee shall be used in connection with the sale of Member's or Airline's Traffic Documents to any customer of the Agent, except as authorized by the Carrier."
Please note that an Agency Debit Memo of $150 will be issued for each violation.
