FROM THE PASTOR...
STAYING CONNECTED
June 12-15 is when our Annual Conference meets this year. This once a year event is when the pastors and lay representatives from all of our United Methodist churches gather to sing together, worship together, and conduct the business of the conference.
Just a few years ago the South Indiana Conference and the North Indiana Conference joined to form the Indiana Conference. The result was a streamlined conference and leadership structure together with a new vision for mission and ministry within our state. The new conference center is located in Indianapolis to provide a centralized location for all of our churches. There the cabinet meets with the Bishop to appoint pastors to all of our churches each year. Our conference staff works from there to carry out the many outreach and support ministries of the church including:

May Mission of the Month - Native American Awareness
In the month of May, your gifts will be used to support Native American Awareness. 50% of the monies are retained by the Annual Conference to develop and strengthen Native American ministries. The remaining 50% is used by the General Board of Higher Education and Ministries for scholarships to Native Americans attending United Methodist schools of theology.

LITTLE LIGHTS PRESCHOOL
You are all invited to our Graduation Program on Sunday, May 19th at 11:00 a.m. All of our classes will be taking part in the program. They will be performing songs, action rhymes, etc. that they have learned throughout the school year. We will end the program by presenting diplomas to the following students who will be attending kindergarten next year: Corinne Albers, Griffin Chaffins, Ellianah Gibson, Brady Materna, Saphyr McDaniel, Lane Merriman, Selah Moerland, David Neace, and Kennedy Ritchie..
