LOCAL EVENTS  
MAY 4 & 5 
The Beaver County History Celebration Weekend will take place at seventeen Beaver County historical sites. Hours are Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday noon to  4 p.m. Click here to view the brochure.   
 
The Richmond Little Red Schoolhouse will be open this weekend on Saturday, May 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, May 5 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. This year the theme is food. Pie will be served, reminiscent of the old-fashioned pie social.
MAY 11  The Beaver Town Yard Sale will be held in the Downtown Business District and throughout the town.  Don't forget to check out the sidewalk sales and specials on Third Street between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
MAY 11 & JUNE 8  The Beaver County Amateur Astronomers will hold a Star Party at the Bradys Run Park baseball fields on Achortown Road.  Observe 1st quarter moon, spring constellations - galaxies and double stars between 8:30 p.m. and 12:30 a.m. This event is free.
MAY 13  There will be a free Veterans Bus Trip to the Washington D.C. National Memorials for WWII and Korean War era veterans and all who served prior to May 15, 1975. Bus leaves from Beaver. Call 724-709-3614 to register. 
MAY 27  A Memorial Day Parade and Program will be held in Downtown Beaver starting at 10:30 a.m. A special Memorial Ceremony in the Beaver Cemetery immediately follows the parade. Complimentary luncheon is provided by the Fort McIntosh Club for all military personnel and their families.
MAY 28  The Beaver County Genealogical and History Center will hold a three day class for Beginning Genealogy & Family Research from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at 250 East End Avenue in Beaver.  Learn how to begin researching your family history, to complete genealogical charts and forms and how to protect your valuable research.  Cost is $35.  Call the Beaver County Genealogy & History Center at 724-775-1775 to register. This makes a great gift for family members or friends!
JUNE 8  Be sure to visit the 41st Annual Garrison Day Show & Sale in the Beaver Parks.  This is one of the County's largest one-day antiquing, hand-crafted arts & crafts events. Drawing 10,000 eager shoppers, the 6-acre venue is the beautiful heavily shaded town square parks adjacent to historic downtown Beaver. The event is held 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is free.
JUNE 12  A Veteran's Breakfast will be held at Seven Oaks County Club (132 Lisbon Road) between 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.  RSVP at least two days in advance by calling 412-623-9029.
JUNE 15 - 16  Relay For Life of Brady's Run - Party in the Park will be held at Brady's Run Park Outdoor Walking Track, 121 Brady's Run Road. This event starts at 10 a.m. and continues through Sunday at 10 a.m. There is free entertainment, a Kid Zone, food, 200 item raffle tent and so much more. This is a family-friendly event, open to the public.
JUNE 22  Beaver County BOOM! will be held at the confluence of the Beaver and Ohio Rivers.  World class pyrotechnics by Zambelli Internationale, the first family of fireworks. Places to watch the show are Bridgewater Park, Monaca Waterworks, Rochester Riverfront Park and the Ohio River! This free event is held between 9:45 p.m. and 10:15 p.m.

WeDo WEDNESDAYS
Come in and have some fun! We will be having open-play  with the library's Lego WeDo 2.0 kits.  No registration is required.  Wednesdays @ 3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. 
LEGO CLUB
Come and show off your skills!  All ages welcome. 
No registration required. Every Friday from 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
BROWN BAG BOOK CLUB  meets on the third Friday of the month from noon - 1:00 p.m. Open to Everyone.
QUILTER'S GROUP  meets the fourth Wednesday of the month from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Open to Everyone.
KNIT & CROCHET CLUB  meets every Thursday from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. making items to sell to support library programs.

SHOW & CONCERT SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
MAY 16  The Beaver Valley Community Concert Association presents Beginnings, the ultimate tribute to Chicago.  Beginnings performs flawless replications of the greatest songs from the legendary band Chicago. Spanning four decades, Chicago had five #1 albums and twenty top-ten hits as they were elected to the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. Be sure to mark this date on your calendar. This show is held at the Beaver Falls Middle School Auditorium at 7:30 p.m.
JUNE 14 - 16, 21 - 23  The Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center presents In the Heights, taking audiences to a vibrant neighborhood of Manhattan where someone just won the lottery, potentially changing the lives of the people in the community forever.  Weaving Latin rhythms, hip-hop and pop to tell a story about chasing the American dream, In the Heights is a scorching, must-see musical to usher in the summer. Friday and Saturday shows are at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday shows are at 2 p.m.
