Enriching lives since 1967...
Dear

Each year, Community Thread awards a scholarship to a graduating
Stillwater Area High School senior who demonstrates a strong commitment to community volunteerism. We are pleased to announce this year's scholarship recipient is Megan Fischer.

Megan is co-founder of a Leos Club - the younger version of the Lions Club - and can't imagine a life without volunteerism.

"I have had many opportunities to see how my work has affected others and understand the importance of helping your community and the people around you," says Megan.

Megan is also a regular volunteer at Community Thread where she helps with Older Adult Program activities, fundraising events, Spring into Service and Holiday Hope.  This fall,  Megan will attend North Dakota State University where she will major in Criminal Justice in hopes of one day becoming a parole office.

Congratulations and best wishes, Megan!
