10 survivors of domestic violence/sexual assault/stalking/ or teen dating violence will have the chance to create art as well as discuss topics that may help survivors begin to heal. Art therapy will be lead by tribal member, Ted Moore and his two daughters, Jessica Harjo and Erica Moore.

In order to promote awareness of the violence against women and girls that occurs worldwide and spur action to end the violence, the CPN House of Hope will be hosting a free screening of the documentary, “VDay Until the Violence Stops”. They will follow the screening with a discussion and Q&A with advocates and provide attendees with free popcorn and several giveaways.

The NAAV is partnering with Women's Resource Center, The Resonator, and Norman Pride for- Art Against Violence: Orange Party!

We are looking for poetry and art focused around the theme of youth and healthy relationships. Please submit work to emily@wrcweb.net.

The actual event on February 22nd will feature an art show, drag/fashion show, and some musical talents. A flyer for the event will be posted on our Facebook page as soon as everything is finalized.

Wichita and Affiliated Tribes Social Services: 11AM-1 PM Every Wednesday Survivors of Homicide Wellbriety Support Group- This wellness group is centered on the Talking Circle and traditional Native practices with the purpose of assisting those who have lost loved ones to homicide. The teachings are evidence based practices from the White Bison curriculum. If you are dealing with grief, unspoken heartache or pain, and would like to have a safe place to heal, please consider attending this gathering. Questions?
