Tier 4 Final Engines

As you may know, at the end of 2018 all diesel engines from 6hp through 1000hp and beyond must meet Tier 4 Final emissions standards.  This means that the previous Tier engines will no longer be available for sale within the United States.  Because of this fact, engine manufacturers and suppliers have reduced or eliminated any engine inventory for old Tier engines.  This further means that any hydraulic power unit that we are asked to build with these old engines will carry at least a 160 day lead time (this includes a 120 day lead time from the engine factory).  The only exception is a handful of Deere 4045T290 engines rated at 74hp.  Therefore, when making plans for purchases during the second half of the year, you should understand that the path of least resistance and quickest turnaround for power units will likely involve Tier 4 Final engines.  In fact, after July 15th, we will no longer be taking orders for any power units that do not have a Tier 4 Final engine.

Looking at Tier 4 Final packages, we do have hydraulic power unit packages designed and approved across a range of horse powers and manufacturers, including the following:
  • Yanmar 25 HP open power units
  • Yanmar 35 HP open and sound attenuated power units
  • Isuzu 45 HP open power units
  • Kohler 74 HP open and sound attenuated power units
  • Hatz 74 HP open power units
  • Deutz 74 HP open power units
  • Cummins 74 HP open power units
  • Cummins 200 HP sound attenuated power units
