YOUR WEEKLY NEWS & UPDATES
memorial_day11.jpg
This Memorial Day we would like to take a moment to honor and remember the U.S. service women and men in our lives and in our community. Now through Monday present your military ID and receive 10% off your purchase as a small token of our thanks.

As you prepare to travel, host a backyard BBQ, or just chill, make sure you're stocked up with lots of hot weather beverages (of the adult variety). Weather reports are saying this is winding up to be the hottest memorial day weekend in over 10 years (no complaints though after that spring deep freeze)! Have a fun-filled weekend and make sure to enjoy responsibly!

Red, White, & Chill : Staff Picks
Patti's Pick:
2016 Raza Vinho Verde
Vinho Verde is what you should be drinking this Memorial Day weekend. It's going to be hot, hot, hot! Zippy and fresh with a lively prickle on your tongue Vinho Verde is great on it's own or my suggestion, with some grilled fish tacos. Raza is tart with a lot of lemon/lime and a little bit of tropical flair and it's lip-smacking good. So share the love because it won't break the bank and you'll probably end up with more friends than when you started. -$9.99
Madison's Pick:
Quenard Vin de Savoie Chignin Gamay
*Chillable Red*
This gamay is the direct result of a skillful vigneron, dizzyingly steep Alpine slopes, poor limestone soils, and sunshine. Its all freshness, minerality, and bright red fruit, equally enjoyable quaffed or savored. This summertime red is an ideal candidate for a bit of chill - throw in the fridge a bit before drinking or in an ice bucket on the patio.  $19.99
Dave's Pick:
Ippolito Mare Chiaro Ciro' Bianco
Ippolito has relaunched it's Ciro' Bianco with a new name and new packaging. 'Mare Chiaro' or 'Clear Sea' is named in reference to Ciro's location in the instep of Italy's boot on the Western shores of the Ionian sea. Both the wine and the packaging are evocative of crystal Mediterranean waters. Ninety-five percent of Ciro's production is made up of grippy but fruity reds based on the Gaglioppo grape. The smaller production of white wine is primarily the ancient Greece originating Greco Bianco. Ippolito's version is generous, floral and fruity up front with a pleasant minerality on the finish. A perfect accompaniment to a day at the beach or a warm evening patio dining, this wine is my front runner for Summer in a bottle.  -$17.99
Doug's Pick:
2016 I Lauri "Tavo" della Venezie Pinot Grigio
This is absolutely one of my favorite options on our value wall. It's a crisp Pinot Grigio with nice acid and rich texture and a long finish. This is a great option for entertaining on a budget with a wine that drinks at a quality much higher than you'd expect for the price. I've got several of these on my shelf at home. -$12.99
