mouEberle Design Inc. Forms Strategic Alliance with The Traffic Group

Eberle Design Inc. signed a memorandum of understanding with The Traffic Group Inc. (TTG) creating a strategic alliance to provide a suite of EDI privately-labeled custom products to TTG's customers in the traffic data collection and planning market sector.

"We are pleased to have an opportunity to work with TTG to pursue traffic data collection and traffic planning projects that we would not normally see in our normal intersection-based traffic control market," said EDI President and CEO Bill Russell. "EDI will customize our iCITE (Intelligent Cabinet Interface to Traffic Equipment) traffic data collection and reporting products to meet the specific market requirements of TTG," added Mr. Russell.

EDI's service of providing real-time traffic data collection services for signalized intersections and arterials is aimed at providing required traffic counts to state departments of transportation.

"TTG will utilize EDI products to aggregate real-time traffic data, using a variety of traffic sensor technologies, incorporating the data into a turn-key TTG traffic data collection solution that we may provide or may be gathered by the DOT agencies," said The Traffic Group President Wes Guckert.

According to Mr. Russell, "The need for accurate, real-time traffic data from intersections and arterials has never been greater, as required by many provisions of the five-year U.S. legislation, the Fixing America's Surface Transportation Act (FAST), to improve the nation's surface transportation infrastructure, roads, bridges, transit systems and rail transportation network."

iciteiCITE™ Data Aggregator DA-300 ™ Launched at ITS America's Annual Meeting & Expo

ITS America Annual Meeting & Expo attendees received an up-close look at the iCITE™ Data Aggregator DA-300™, offering real-time traffic and arterial data with cabinet monitoring. The DA-300™monitors and reports on mission critical traffic cabinet or intersection faults via SMS or email. It also provides Cloud-based remote access to real-time performance measures and traffic data from isolated or networked intersections or arterial roadways with cabinet monitoring functioning.

Conference attendees expressed significant interest in this new EDI solution that provides the required traffic data to deliver performance measures for a variety of domestic and international ITS projects.
