And All Who Joined Us
Shavuos night at the Kollel was an inspiring scene with a full crowd of men and boys learning throughout the night. The beautiful Kol Torah resounded throughout the Beis Medrash as chavrusah pairs animatedly learned together all the way 'till morning. Timely and insightful shiurim were presented by Rabbi Spiegel, Rabbi Greer, and Rabbi Biberfeld to large crowds on the lower level while Rabbi Prupas led the Shivti Chaburah with dozens learning the same topic of " Mushba ve'omeid Mehar Sinai ." The learning k'ish echad, in unity, culminated with a shiur by Rabbi Sholom Kelemer. The young boy's special program, taught by Rabbi Starkman, Rabbi Kaganoff and Rabbi Zeffren completed Mishnayos Meseches Bikkurim in one night and celebrated a spirited siyum with ice cream and sprinkles.
Yom Tov was topped off with a very uplifting Neilas Hachag which featured lively singing, divrei Torah and a delicious meal. The event was a great way to help us relish the last few moments of this Chag and ensure that the spiritual growth we all experienced will remain with us well into the future.

Thank you to Kosher Foods and More for co-sponsoring the delicious refreshments and to Rabbi Spiegel for his assistance in setting up the dessert buffet and chocolate bar which was enjoyed by all.

*Shivti was founded by Beth Medrash Govoha in 2014 to share intensive learning opportunities to those outside the physical walls of the Yeshiva. Participants experience genuine growth in learning.
The Shivti curriculum starts with in-depth Iyun and ends with Halacha L'maaseh's practical applications, incorporating the quality and methodology that are the hallmarks of Beth Medrash Govoha. The weekly Shivti booklet features carefully curated content, clearly presenting exactly what the Sugya is, what will be learned, and which specific path is optimal to take through the Sugya. Shivti learning typically takes place within a chaburah setting, led by the local Rav, similar to the classic Yeshiva learning seder. The goal is to entirely engage the participants, so that they emerge each week with great clarity, both in the sometimes difficult lomdus and in the real world knowledge of Halacha and Minhag L'maaseh.
