A Weekly Peek at Our Savior's....

MINISTRY IN MOTION

God's good work continues in this place thanks to motivated members, friends, and staff.  Look what's happening in the
Mission & Outreach Ministry at Our Savior's!

The Mission & Outreach Committee's goal is to support the causes of Christ and demonstrate Christ's love in our community and beyond through charitable giving on behalf of the Our Savior's Lutheran Church congregation. It is our great pleasure to do the work of distributing ten percent of the OSLC budget this year to support mission and outreach programs at a local, national and international level, including disaster relief.

Some of the local organizations supported by OSLC's charitable giving are Valley Outreach, Young Lives, and Meals from the Heart, where families from our church help pack the meals and OSLC helps pay for the shipping and supply fees.

Your giving also helps two companion congregations in Mlafu, Tanzania and Zaculeu, Guatemala grow and thrive.  Congregation members visited both locations in 2017.

We also provide funds to Camp Wapogasset where hundreds of our children and youth have attended inspiring summer bible camp over decades of our association with them.

Support is also provided to Bethlehem on the Midway where our PEP group helps serve meals on the first Monday of each month to our neighbors in need in the Midway area.

The Mission and Outreach Committee works to be your helping hand reaching out to the world. If you feel called to the work of this committee and would like to join us or learn more, please talk with any of the committee members or the church office.  Current Committee Members: Abang Akway, Sue Amundson, Lynne Ardolf, Sandy Fabio, Laurie Burns, Chris Buse, Kathy Newton, Ray Valley (board rep).

Yours in Christ,

Kathy Newton
Mission and Outreach Committee Chair
