2K Run, Walk & Stroll Sunday March 11th
Palmetto Bay’s 2K Walk, Run & Stroll for Cerebral Palsy is on Sunday, March 11 from 10 am to 12 pm at Coral Reef Park, 7895 SW 152nd St., Palmetto Bay, FL 33157 (Remember to set your clocks forward one hour for Daylight Saving Time; we don't want you to miss it!)
 
If you haven't preregistered, you can still take part. Onsite sign-up opens on event day starting at 9am. Your $20 registration fee includes a “green” commemorative t-shirt and a participation medal. After the 2K, children and families will have the opportunity to enjoy family activities and visit resource vendors that will be onsite. A variety of delicious food and beverages will also be available for purchase by Palmetto Bay’s very own Farmer's Market Vendors
Spring Ahead This Weekend

Daylight Saving Time begins 2 am Sunday morning, March 11th. Yup, we'll lose an hour of sleep, but we'll gain an extra hour of sunshine! Don't forget, before turning in on Saturday night be sure to set your clocks ahead one hour!
Join Us for a Traffic Town Hall on March 12th and for the 3rd Annual Kids Town Hall on March 14th!

On Monday, March 12th, Mayor Eugene Flinn and Councilman David Singer are co-hosting a Traffic Town Hall to address dangerous issues that have been raised by residents concerning traffic. Some of the issues include speedy drivers, texting while driving and traffic lights. Police Commander Gady Serralta will be in attendance to address questions and concerns from the public. The Town Hall starts at 7 pm at Village Hall.

And later in the week, the Kids Town Hall is coming to Dr. Henry E. Perrine Academy of the Arts for the third year in a row. Hosted by Councilmember Karyn Cunningham, this year’s theme is "Conquering with Kindness" and the main topic of discussion will be school safety. Palmetto Bay Police Commander Gady Serralta and Outreach Officer Peter Judge will be onsite to address any concerns and answer questions. The Kids Town Hall is scheduled for Wednesday, March 14th starting at 3 pm and will be held at Dr. Henry E. Perrine Academy of the Arts, 8851 SW 168 th St. at 3 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
