Strive to be more
Dear Parents,
We are quickly approaching the last three weeks of the 2018-19 school year and students and teachers have been busy preparing final projects and performances for parents to enjoy.  The PreK students delivered a charming Sing-a-Long last Friday and it is wonderful to see how much they have grown since their December program.
Yesterday, the 8th grade students presented
Shakespeare's  A Midsummer's Night Dream at the Diocesan Shakespeare Festival and we can't wait to see them repeat this fine performance on the upcoming Arts Night.  We round out the week with a performance from the STM  Band who will serenade everyone with their fine musical talent tomorrow evening beginning at 7:00pm in Lee Hall (the gym).  So much talent!  Please remember to mark your calendars to walk the halls and tour the art work that will be displayed on STM's Art Night, Tuesday, May 29.  You won't want to miss seeing all the beautiful creations that the students have completed during this school year.

God bless,

Eleanor McCormack

Where the Wild Things Are

This year's field day's theme is Where the Wild Things Are.   It will be held on Wednesday, June 13th. Grades 1-4 (This is different from previous years) will be participating in over twenty fun activities. The activities will combine skills that the students have learned and the story line of the book.

It will be great fun; however, we need help. We need approximately 26 adults either to stock, run and supervise the water tables or run activities. Running an activity can be challenging and fun! While assisting one or two children to complete the activity, the adult needs to keep an eye on the 4 or 5 children waiting on line.   The activities themselves are fairly simple to understand. We are also planning a craft table. We will need 4 adults to work there. The time commitment is from 7:45am to 11:10am on June 13th. Please be prompt if you able to help. This is a non-competitive day so the children are generally laughing and enjoying themselves. This is a great chance to make up some volunteer hours. If you want to help, please email me at  bbauer@stmschool.org. Please let me know in the email whether you'd like to work a water table, run an activity or supervise the arts and crafts table. Since I am busy with the wild ones, I will NOT be able to send a confirmation email.

Don't miss out on the chance to "Roar your mighty roar" with us .

Thank you for all your support.

KEEP CLIPPING BOXTOPS THIS SUMMER!

Be sure to keep collecting BoxTops for Education over the summer! STM families have raised more than $1,000 for our school from BoxTops in the past year, and our school will continue to participate in this national program during the 2018-2019 year, including holding Classroom Collection Contests. BoxTops can be found on a wide variety of common food and household products - Visit the program's website at  www.BTFE.com for a complete list of items, grocery coupons, special contests, and more.
aa
And, please check your collection today - If any of your BoxTops have summer expiration dates, send those in via backpack mail by May 25 so that STM can get credit for those before they expire. Thank you for clipping!
